"Swing into Spring" Vendor Event
Join us on Saturday, April 18th from 9am-1pm for our "Swing into Spring" vendor event. There will be unique gifts, decor, prizes, and more! Family Programs
Your family is invited to a Garden Tea Party in the library on Saturday, April 18th from 4-7pm. Dress up or come casual to enjoy a fun evening together. We will have various teas, snacks, crafts and games. Registration is required. Seating is limited. Please sign up early! If registering online, please list all the names of the attending in NOTES REGISTRATION FORM. Join us on Thursdays @ 10am in May with Lisa from Courageous Hearts, LLC for "Walk a Mile in Your Shoes". You will be taking a gentle, mindfulness walk with a therapy canine and Lisa from Courageous Hearts. It's good for the mind and soul to reflect and enjoy the outdoors...the dog will just be an added bonus! Meet in the library parking lot @ 600 S. Cannon St., Bridgeville, DE.

Children's Programs
Join Ms. Hilary on Tuesdays @ 10am for Story Book Corner with stories, songs, and rhymes about St. Patrick's Day and colors in March. "Little Acorns" Music & Movement will be held on Wednesdays @ 9am in the library. Enjoy dancing, swaying, or just observing at this time of movement, rhythm, and fun. Ms. Hilary will model some songs, rhymes, finger plays, and bounces to use at home. This will encourage early learning to foster early literacy skills and develop a lifelong love of books. Reading to your baby can support their social and emotional development. Bring your child to the library on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month @11am to read to the L.E.A.P. dogs, Oliver and Penny. Join us on Saturday, March 28th @ 10am for stories, songs, and rhymes about bunnies and eggs followed by a fun brunch! This event is open for all ages to enjoy. Bring the family! Registration is preferred. Join us on Thursday, April 9th @ 2pm with the staff from Delaware Public Archives to learn about Delaware’s role in the Revolutionary War by playing the board game “Road to Liberty”. The game utilizes archival documents from the Delaware Archives’ collections as part of the journey. Players move their pieces along the board, draw Action and Chance cards, and encounter shortcuts, setbacks, and historical challenges along the way. Registration is required.

Adult Programs
In March, Mahjong will be held on the 2nd and 4th Friday from 3-5pm. We are looking for beginners to experienced players to learn or play the game of Mahjong! We will have 2 boards available or you may bring your own board/racks and cards/tiles to play, if you wish. Registration is preferred. For adults and open to teens 14+. *Disclaimer-We will be playing the American version of Mahjong with cards, using the 2024 card. --Adult Craft Night is FULL--Join us to decoupage/decorate a metal can to be used however you wish (spring decor, flower/succulent pot, storage, etc.). Some examples are shown on the flyer. Materials will be provided, unless you wish to bring your own. Registration is required. Please drop off any cans you have at the library before the week of the craft, so they can be primed. Thanks in advance! Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 11am-1pm as we discuss the book selection "The Discreet Hero" by Mario Vargas Llosa and enjoy a variety of Peruvian inspired cuisine. The book is available in regular print, and as an eBook on HOOPLA. Registration is required. Gentle Yoga with Bonnie (Ananda Yoga) will be held on Wednesdays @ 6pm on the following dates: March 25th, April 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th at the library. These classes are open to all ages and levels, and are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your own mat. A virtual format is pending.

Join Ms. Miranda for a fun interactive Book Club for ages 8-14 on Wednesday, March 25th at 3:30pm. This month’s book is from The Ranger's Apprentice series "The Ruins of Gorlan" by John Flanagan. CPR Certification Classes
The Bridgeville Library is offering a CPR Certification Class on Saturday, April 11th from 4-7pm or Saturday, May 16th from 10am-1pm. A certified CPR American Heart Association Instructor will be teaching this class. The cost is $65 per participant to receive certification. Registration is required and class is limited to 10 participants. To register: call the library at 302-337-7401 ext. 101. Payment must be received by April 8th (for April 11th class); May 13th (for May 16th class) and will be accepted by (in this order): cash, check or credit card.

Mobile Health2GO Unit & DSAMH
Do you need a flu shot? Or a Covid-19 Test? Want to get the latest Covid-19 vaccination? Need HIV Testing, counseling and referral? Or just need some important health information? You can get all of these at the Delaware Health and Social Services Health2Go Mobile Health Unit in the parking lot on Tuesday, April 14th from 10am-3pm. No appointment needed. Insurance accepted but not necessary. A representative from the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health will be at the library on Thursday, April 16th from 10am-1pm. They will have Narcan and wound care kits to distribute, along with information and giveaways. Our mission is to reduce substance abuse and related problem behaviors by strengthening children, families and communities through training and education and services.
